Google Explores Re-Ranking Search Results Using +1 Button Data

Google certainly know its search engine very well, although every user wants to search one thing or the other the main concern to the company and the users is how best you can refine your search. We all know that Google launched its baby Google+ which is to be called as Social media but Google calls it rather a project. Anyways the thing is anything you share on Google+ like your post and pictures is now seen on search engines. Yes, it true that Google explores Re-ranking search results using +1 Button data which is available in Google plus.

Unlike Facebook which has a LIKE button is just used within its site and not indexed on search engines, you can see your profile on search engines but to see the WALL you need to be logged on or sign up as a new user.

So why this Re-Ranking search results using +1 Button data: Well Google thinks there are lot of spam indexed pages, and hence to avoid spamming, they ask the user to vote the page i.e, +1’d the web page you visit, thereby providing info to Google that it’s a valid web page and not a spam.

“Google will study the clicks on +1 buttons as a signal that influences the ranking and appearance of websites in search results,” a spokesman wrote. “The purpose of any ranking signal is to improve overall search quality. For +1’s and other social ranking signals, as with any new ranking signal, we’ll be starting carefully and learning how those signals are related to quality.”

Well as far Google is concerned it definitely need its data stream but Facebook won’t allow Google anyway near it as it has given to Bing. Hence we can remark that there is heck lot of data that we have provided on Facebook, henceforth beware the info that you provide on Facebook. Although Google has jumped into these waters and struggling to fetch a data stream from Twitter and Facebook and if Google succeeds then there is nothing online that can stop Google to become a super power in Internet.
